Membership

In direct association with the Dortmunder U, the Dortmunder Kunstverein organizes four to six exhibitions per year, which are accompanied by an extensive programme of events. Our main mission is to enable direct interaction between our audience, the artist, and their work. We aim to achieve this through guided tours, lectures, artist talks, and discussion panels where our members can meet other art enthusiasts.

By signing up for our membership, you support all activities of the Kunstverein and make an important contribution to the promotion of contemporary art in Dortmund. It's important to note that your membership fee is tax-deductible.

Membership advantages:

• Free admission to around 300 Kunstvereins affiliated with the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Deutscher Kunstvereine (ADKV)
• Participation in studio visits, artist talks, excursions and art trips, for example to the documenta in Kassel or the Venice Biennale, as well as the exhibition preview Work in Progress, that allows you to talk to the artists in person at the Kunstverein
• Personal invitations to all exhibitions and events of the Kunstverein (by letter and/or e-mail)
• Exclusive opportunity to purchase annual works of art (Jahresgaben) created in collaboration with the exhibited artists
• Access to all publications of the Kunstverein at reduced prices
• Access to free (limited edition) exhibition brochures

• Access to private guided tours for employees or clients

Annual fees:

• First-semester art students at TU Dortmund or FH Dortmund: free of charge
• Pupils and students: 25 €
• Artists: 50 €
• Reduced price: 50 €
• Full membership: 100 €
• Corporate membership: 750 €
• Sponsoring membership: 2.500 €
