In their exhibition Golf Musk, the artist duo Ben Burgis (*1983 in England) and Ksenia Pedan (*1986 in the Ukraine) raise questions about the meaning of status symbols and the resulting material hierarchies. Set between freeway landscape and interior, the exhibition presents objects shaped like golf carts, animals and geometrical forms. The vehicles and items, transformed into monstrous yet sensual sculptures, express childlike desires alongside social, musky decadence.

Burgis and Pedan, who live and work in London, are holding their first institutional solo exhibition outside England. They have been collaborating since 2011, creating sculptural works together. Their ambitious, immersive, and often spatial arrangements convey a dystopian, almost gothic-like quality and a dark sense of humour.
