The DEW21 Museum Night Dortmund is the city's annual cultural night. On September 19, 2026, around 40 museums, galleries, and cultural venues will open their doors between 4 and 11 pm. We invite you to visit us on this day and offer several guided tours of the current exhibition (4, 6, and 8 pm).
*Ever been to a synthesizer workshop? Ever felt completely lost? Ever gone home thinking it was just too complicated and not for you? Don't worry! The DachDeckende Randgruppe (DachDeckende Fringe Group) understands the feeling and wants you to have fun with (electronic noise) music!! As part of Museum Night, DDDR presents an easy-to-learn music workshop for fun with electronic sounds and noises.
The Dachdeckende Randgruppe (DDDR) is a DIY performance group from Dortmund. They stand for naive and accessible (performance) art, noise, music, and other mischief. Founded without any formal art school background, the group stemmed from their critique of how performance art, in particular, is often presented in a highbrow and elitist manner, making it inaccessible to many people. Consequently, their work thrives on wit, self-irony, and chaos.
