Salon Ancestral combines listening bar and "Stammtisch" (local group meeting) with historical salon culture.

Let's transform the Dortmunder Kunstverein into an intimate space that sharpens the senses – a third space where encounters, knowledge exchange, and community can flourish without spending money. A slowed down space where music is actively and collectively listened to, music not suggested by algorithms but curated and presented by people. The event is aimed particularly at young music enthusiasts, artists, students, and cultural workers.

Hel Wagner (born 2000 in Traunstein) has lived in Dortmund since 2019, studied photography at the University of Applied Sciences, and is an artist and musician. Since her studies, she has worked in exhibition organization and arts and cultural education. Her aim is to integrate music more strongly into curatorial and cultural mediation practice.

Kendra Witzel (born 1997 in Cologne) is an artist and musician from Düsseldorf who co-organizes the concert series Mini Music Department and Ritus Underground Shows and hosts radio programs on Noods Radio, Narr Radio, and 674FM. Her music projects include angelito, Rhoda, Babyfloating, and Club Prizren.
