ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop will be run by Desire Bigalske.
Braided hairstyles have a long tradition in many African cultures - they tell stories, show belonging and bring people together. This workshop invites you to get to know and try out techniques together and gain a little insight into the importance of braiding.
The workshop is open to everyone, regardless of experience or background.

Wendy vs Tinkerbell is a bar and workshop space by artist Philip Wiegard at the Dortmunder Kunstverein: From 2025 to 2027, it will be a laboratory for practical and intercultural knowledge transfer, with a special focus on arts and crafts and aesthetic practice.
