ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
Flower garlands are an integral part of Tamil culture—not only in religious festivals and ceremonies but also in everyday and family life. With this workshop, the Association of Tamil Artists aims to offer insight into this vibrant tradition. Participants will learn various garland-making techniques, explore the cultural significance of flowers in the Tamil context, and are invited to share their own experiences and perspectives.
The workshop offers a space for encounter, exchange, and collective creativity.
Open to all, regardless of background or experience.
ABOUT WENDY VS TINKERBELL
Wendy vs Tinkerbell is a bar and workshop space by artist Philip Wiegard at the Dortmunder Kunstverein. From 2025 to 2027, it serves as a lab for practical and intercultural knowledge transfer, with a special focus on craft and aesthetic practice. More info and workshop program

The Association of Tamil Artists (Verein für Tamilische Künstler e.V.) promotes Tamil culture and community in Dortmund. Based in the Unionviertel district, the organization strengthens the visibility of Tamil culture through events such as the annual Tamil Summer Festival. Website
