A young man, played by Gael García Bernal, moves from Mexico to Paris and works in the office of a company that produces picture calendars. Both professionally and privately, he repeatedly loses himself in his imaginative dream worlds and finds it increasingly difficult to distinguish between dream and reality.
In this poetic love story, boundaries and feelings blur in a delicate and absurd way. Between stop-motion dreams, bizarre ideas and quiet melancholy, ‘The Science of Sleep’ is a film full of creativity and heart.
