OPEN CALL

As part of Black History Month, various institutions in Dortmund (Internationales Frauenfilmfestival Dortmund | Köln, Dietrich-Keuning-Haus, Dortmunder Kunstverein, Schauspiel Dortmund) founded a network in 2021 and are now initiate an open call. For a period of one year, six artists will be given a platform to showcase their creative and artistic work. 

At the same time, artists are free to actively participate in shaping the format next year. For this purpose we are looking for six positions from a wide range of artistic fields to present their art forms and expertise. The network offers a fixed sum of 2000€ to each selected member position. This covers accommodation and travel expenses.

Open Call

The open call is addressed to all artists, cultural professionals and curators who position themselves as Black, African, Afro-German and/or Afro-Diasporic and would like to present, perform or visualize a completed work between February 2022 and February 2023.

Application 

Interested parties should submit a one- or two-page formulation of their work with a description of the technical requirements and materials and other necessary means in PDF format to Stadtdrama@theaterdo.de, if possible also MP3-files, Soundcloud-, Vimeo-, Spotify-Links and/or images in JPEGs.
