Nils Alix-Tabeling's works draw on a symbol-rich visual vocabulary of science fiction, fashion, history, furniture, shamanism and witchcraft. With a pinch of camp and humor, Nils Alix-Tabeling addresses social grievances and exceptional psychological situations.

His fine pencil drawings show bodies reduced to brain and nerve tracts. They stand between nightmare and confidence in an ambivalent cosmic-spiritualistic connection with the universe.
