The works of Jessy Razafimandimby (*1995 Madagascar, lives in Marseille) are shaped by an interest in interior decoration, in window displays as closed spaces of staging, and in textiles, which stand as representations of the human form. The collages are created as a work in progress, testing the painterly potential of the figures, overwriting, re-arranging them, and placing them in various contexts. They are excerpts from a catalog on fashion and window display decoration from the 1960s to the 1980s. The artist was part of the exhibition Unselfing.

Jessy Razafimandimby (*1995 in Antananarivo, Madagascar) lives and works in Geneva and Marseille. He graduated in Fine Arts from the Haute École d’Art et Design Genève (HEAD) in 2018. His multidisciplinary practice spans painting, drawing, installation, and performance, and has been presented in solo exhibitions at Sans titre, Paris (2022), and Hakanto Contemporary, Antananarivo (2024). In 2021, he received the Kiefer Hablitzel – Swiss Art Awards. His works are held in the collections of the Zhi Art Museum, Chengdu, and the Fonds Yavarhoussen, Antananarivo.
