Biche is part of a series of gouaches by video artist Brice Dellsperger (*1972 in Cannes, lives in Paris), which complement the visual references of his cinematic work: scenes from Hollywood films, pop culture, music videos, and a range of queer icons, trans personalities, and drag queens. Jean Biche is a prominent performer and artist in the Paris and Brussels nightlife scenes and has appeared multiple times in Brice Dellsperger's video works in the Body Double series—a continuous reenactment of film history with a camp and queer interpretation since 1995. Biche was featured in Body Double 39, which was filmed in the spaces of the Dortmunder Kunstverein and site-specificly presented during Dellsperger’s solo exhibition in the summer.
