Will by Phillip Zach (*1984 in Cottbus, lives and works in Los Angeles) is a kind of still life made of polyurethane, plastic, cotton, nylon, cellophane, and acetate, creating a confrontation between the organic and the artificial. More precisely, the collage of materials is reminiscent of both a cellular composition and a glimpse into the human interior. With a penchant for science fiction, the work expresses something magical and eerie, something decayed but also vital, as well as something post-apocalyptic.
