Chris Reinecke, the observer (a title she has given herself), has been tirelessly measuring our world in all its political, social, spiritual and poetic dimensions with her artistic work since the mid-1960s. From the radical beginning of her work until today, "the work", despite all formal transformations, is always an open process through which one (artist and viewer) relates to the world.
The series of Dosen from 1995 refers on the one hand to works from the 1960s, which mockingly and critically commented on the consumerist mania and hoarding paranoia of post-war Germans, and on the other hand to the analytical-conceptual approaches that determine her work today.
