Nils Alix-Tabeling's works draw on a symbol-rich visual vocabulary of science fiction, fashion, history, furniture, shamanism and witchcraft. With a pinch of camp and humor, Nils Alix-Tabeling addresses social grievances and exceptional psychological situations.

The fairy arrow has Ulrike Meinhof's likeness as its mainspring and a complex sensory apparatus as its tip. It was part of the exhibition But Who is Ulrike Mandrake?
