A textile tableau measuring just under 7 × 6 meters, newly produced for the exhibition Schlaraffenland, forms the basis of this edition. Drawing on Baroque still lifes, the overall motif presents high-resolution scanned foodstuffs whose now fragmented details unfold an aesthetic that is both seductive and unsettling. Oversized as they are, these wearable artworks can hold almost anything, while still leaving room for more. A piece of Schlaraffenland for everyday life: sensual temptation and excess at once—playful and critical in equal measure. Each piece is a hand-sewn unique item made by  Amen Juvlja Mundial, a creative sewing manufactory run by members of the Rom*nja community in Dortmund’s Nordstadt district.
